Frank Montoya Jr. is a retired FBI senior executive, having joined the Bureau in 1991. Montoya Jr. has experience in many areas of investigation, including but not limited to violent crime, drugs, terrorism, and counterintelligence.
Montoya Jr. temporarily worked on the Oklahoma City Bombing case and assisted in the Robert Hannsen investigation. Montoya Jr. has participated in and led domestic and foreign investigations and operations.
Additionally, Montoya has served as Special Agent in Charge in Seattle, Washington, and Honolulu, Hawaii, and as Counterintelligence Executive for the FBI. In this role, equivalent to Assistant Director, he was in charge of national counterintelligence for the U.S government. Montoya received a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Brigham Young University and served in the U.S. Army as an infantry officer.
